Overview
Korfshore is a corporate business based in Alberta, Canada. Eisen approached me for a corporate landing page, and the relationship has since become one of the longest-running on my books.
Korfshore was the first of two sites I built for Eisen. The second, Talentconex, followed shortly after.
What the project involved
- A corporate landing page built on WordPress
- Ongoing maintenance on a monthly retainer
- Continuous updates since launch
The Opportunity
Corporate sites have a different job to trades sites. Nobody is landing on a Korfshore page in a panic at two in the morning. The visitor is evaluating whether this is a credible organisation worth a conversation.
That shifts the priorities. Clarity and restraint matter more than urgency, and the site has to hold up under slower, more sceptical reading.
What I Built
A corporate landing page built to communicate what the business does without the padding that usually fills corporate websites. Clean structure, fast loading, and content organised so a visitor can find what they need without hunting.
The ongoing retainer
What makes this project worth writing about is not the build. It is what happened afterwards.
Eisen wanted one person responsible for both building the site and keeping it running, rather than a developer who disappears at handover and a separate maintenance provider who inherits code they did not write.
The site has been maintained continuously since launch on a monthly retainer, which means updates, backups and fixes are handled by the person who built it. When something needs changing, there is no ramp-up time and no explaining the codebase to anyone.
Conclusion
Korfshore turned into the model for how I prefer to work: build it properly, then stay responsible for it.
Eisen came back for a second, more complex build off the back of this one.
